Chapter 874, the 2010 Appropriation Act, includes a $750,000 cut to the agency in FY 2012. Without the reversal of this cut, the agency does not have the funding to support filled mine inspector and technician positions, firefighting equipment for underground miners, and the current frequency of mine inspections.
